| Descripción : | Se presenta el estudio de validez de correlación de la escala Perfil de Conductas de Desarrollo (PCD-R) con la Escala de Desarrollo
Infantil Bayley (EDIB-II).
Metodología: Se evaluaron 40 niños entre 1 y 42 meses de edad con ambas pruebas. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo y la correlación
de Pearson, análisis de sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo y valor predictivo negativo. Para realizar algunos de estos
análisis se agrupó el PCD-R en las áreas del EDIB-II
Resultados: Se encontró una correlación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre el PCD-R y el EDIB-II en las escalas mental y
motora, mostrando que ambos instrumentos miden fenómenos (constructos) similares en estas áreas. Además se demostró que las áreas
del PCD-R se correlacionan en forma positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre sí y entre las subescalas del EDIB-II The correlation validity study between the Profile of Developmental Conducts Revised (PCD-R in Spanish) and the Bayley Scales of Infant Development (BSID-II) is presented. Methodology: 40 children between 1 and 42 months of age were evaluated with both tests. Several statistical analyses were done including: descriptive analysis, a Pearson Correlation, a sensitivity and specificity analysis, and a positive and negative predictive value. In order to make these analyses the PCD-R was regrouped in accordance with the BSID-II scales. Results: A positive and statistically significant correlation was found between the PCD-R and the BSID-II in the mental and motor subscales, showing that both instruments measure similar constructs in these areas. It was demonstrated as well, that the PCD-R’s areas correlated between each other and with each subscale of the BSID-II. |
